Le concert champêtre


Le concert champêtre de Francis Poulenc.
C'est pour clavecin, mais...
Comme à l'époque, 1928, il n'y avait que sa copine Wanda Landowska qui en jouait, il a permis qu'on le joue avec de menues modifications, au piano. Histoire d'être joué.
Là, il est lui même au clavier avec un des plus grands chefs français du XXème siècle, Désiré-Émile. Un concert dont je n'ai pas la date.

Postérieur à ce concert champêtre de Watteau, en tous cas.

De toute manière, le clavecin que jouait la Landowska sonnait aussi fort qu'un piano. C'était une robuste machine de concert créée par la maison Pleyel, sur mesure.
Trois mouvements, un concerto classique, quoi.
Ah oui, Désiré-Émile Inghelbrecht. Dont je parlerai une autre fois. Dévot de Debussy, qu'il avait connu. Avec son cadet Désormière, champions de la grâce perdue.

  1. Discobole, I am sorry for the delay in answering to your comment in my post. I had a busy time and could not update it for some time...but, yes!, of sure, I downloaded your precious recording and I follow closely your blog waiting for other surprises. Until now, I downloaded the two posts dedicated to Cathy Berberian who was one of my favourite singers and a very nice lady I had the luck to know while living in Milan thanks to a common friend. Do you have other recording which could be added to the two already available?

    I have heard her a few times in concert...that's all...
    Of course, as a fan, I have other records, but you will have to wait, as most of them are not here with me. Pierrot lunaire, in English, you start salivating?

  5. En effet, c'est ce que dit le Musée d'Angers.
    Bah, c'est l'intention qui compte, pour moi, il représente fidèlement en peinture ce concert champêtre que Poulenc a fait sonner...

  6. CE N EST PAS LE MUSEE D ANGERS QUI LE DIT . CE TITRE RECENT PROVIENT DE LA DIRECTION DES MUSEE DE FRANCE CAR L ORIGINAL DU CONCERT CHAMPETRE N ATOUJOURS PAS ETE RETROUVE MAIS SON EXISTENCE EST CERTAINEE GRACE A LA REPRODUCTION QUE EN FAIT AUDRAN DANS SON CATALOGUE CONTRAIREMENT AU TABLEAU DU MUSEE D ANGERS QUI N APPARAIT NULLE PART
